We will be holding our Annual General Meeting (AGM) on Wednesday 20th February 2019 at 8 pm in the Club House. These are exciting times for the club and we will be presenting our proposals to replace the floodlights and the courts in the coming months. This will ensure our continued enjoyment at Purley Bury for many years to come and should be of interest to all members. The AGM is informative, interesting, and provides everything you really ought to know about YOUR PURLEY BURY. If you have been before, please put the date in your diary and come again, if you have never been, there couldn’t be a better opportunity to learn about how the club works and our plans for its future.
We will also be electing the Trustees for the Club and the Members of the Management Team. As this will be the first AGM of the Charity, all Trustees are required to stand down and elections held. Our current Trustees are Michael Vaughan Chairman, Geoff Green Treasurer, John Davey Secretary, Mark Love Tennis and Sarah Wilson Membership, all of whom plan to stand again. We currently have vacancies on the Management Team for a Maintenance Manager, a Social Co-ordinator and a Marketing Manager. Nominations to join the Management Team are invited for all roles (not just the vacancies). Nominations are also invited to become a Trustee (we can have up to 12). A proposer and Seconder and the Agreement of the Candidate must be provided by email (individually) to email@example.com or by filling in a form available from the bar. Candidates must be members of the Tennis Club and over 18 years of age.
It is imperative that members come forward to join the Management Team if we are to sustain and build on the progress the club has made over the past four years. If you would like to discuss what is involved please contact any of the existing Management Team
