Happy New Year – Stay Safe, Stay Healthy

As we continue to reside and play in a Tier 4 area at the turn of the year, it is timely to remind each other that it is imperative that we all comply with the restrictions currently in force for our own sakes and that of all those with whom we come into contact. Remember if you are symptomatic or living in a household with someone else who has a possible or confirmed COVID-19 infection you should remain at home and not come to the Club.
Here is a reminder of the key points, with links to our full guidance and that of the LTA and the Government.
You must not meet socially indoors with family or friends unless they are part of your household or support bubble. Therefore all the Club’s buildings are closed and in the interests of your safety must not be used except by authorised members for operational purposes or in emergencies. If you do have legitimate reason to access the kitchen area or toilets please ensure you lock the kitchen door when you leave. It is not acceptable to congregate in the kitchen. Access to the bar is not permitted at any time without permission from Robbie Watt who is responsible for the bar.

You may only mix outdoors with one person from outside your household or support bubble and therefore you are not allowed to play doubles at the club until further notice except where all 4 players are from the same household or support bubble.

Singles is still allowed.

Organised group activity for disabled people and for U18’s can continue outdoors

You must book a court in advance if you wish to play.

You must socially distance whilst at the Club by staying at least two metres away from others you do not live with or are in a support bubble with (including during play as far as possible, when taking breaks and before and after play). It is not acceptable for members from different households or support bubbles to mingle on the veranda or anywhere else at the club.

To book a court you must be an adult member. Tennis balls will not be provided so you must bring your own. Should you wish to use the floodlights you will need to use tokens. Balls (£5 a tube) and tokens may be purchased by arrangement with  Mark Love at mdlcoaching@hotmail.com or Sarah Wilson at sarahcrid@talktalk.net payment by BACs direct to the Club with the your surname and Balls or Tokens as the reference. To avoid disappointment, please do not leave it until the last minute to contact them.
