Disability Tennis Award for Mark

MDL COACHING have been awarded Disability Club of the Year for Surrey for their achievements in continuing to deliver the disability tennis sessions at the Club despite the restrictions. Many congratulations to Mark and his team and all the volunteers from our Club who have made this possible.

Talking of volunteers, we now have 2 Disability Tennis Groups of 17 playing 5-5.45pm and 5.45-6.30pm on Fridays and we need more volunteers to help especially for the early session. Please contact Mark if you want to join in.

All being well these are due to resume on 23 May 2021 for all our teams

COVID-19 Safety precautions

Please remember that it is in all our interests to continue to take precautions to keep us on track for the lifting of restrictions;

  • Rule of six – no more than six people from different households may mix out side
  • Social distancing – try to keep 2 meters distance from others whenever possible.
  • Do not congregate in groups before and after playing
  • Avoid using balls other than those allocated for your session – they are all numbered
  • Our buildings are closed except for emergencies and operational reasons
  • Wash your hands at home before and after play and bring hand sanitiser with you to use

Bar

Due to the current government restrictions in place the bar area remains closed and access to it is not permitted without Robbie Watt’s permission. However, at certain times it may operate a takeaway service at Robbie’s discretion. We will continue to review the situation as the restrictions change in the coming months.

Thirsty flowers

It’s not only the players who get thirsty, our lovely flowers do as well, especially during current dry spell. So if you see them gasping in the sun and have a few minutes to spare please give them some water.

Paying for floodlights

Please remember to pay for floodlight usage on evening rotas at the end of the month. The charge is 75p per player per half hour used. Please make payment to the Club’s bank account by BACS Sort Code  20-88-13  A/c No.  03184153  Reference Members surname
