New 19 July 2021 COVID-19 Arrangements – Be Responsible, Respect Others

Now the Government have lifted many of the restrictions that were in place to reduce the transmission of the COVID-19 virus, our Club can resume most of of its normal activities and way of working. However, we are sure that all members will agree that we must all act responsibly and respect others if we are to enjoy our restored freedoms.

Organised Play – we will be continuing to run organised sessions on Sunday Mornings, Wednesday mornings for ladies, and Thursday mornings for men that have worked so well during the pandemic as well as the Monday and Thursday Rotas.

Ad Hoc Play – Members should continue to book courts for ad hoc play outside of organised sessions to ensure court time is available.

Floodlight Tokens – from August we are reverting to captains using tokens to provide floodlighting for rota sessions. Tokens can be obtained from the bar which will accept payment by cash or card.

Balls – Tennis balls no longer need to be quarantined and will be available for organised sessions in white boxes in the Kitchen.

Social distancing – This is no longer a requirement but please respect each others personal space.

Masks – These are no longer required but we would encourage members to make maximum use of the outside space and to wear masks out of respect for others when it is crowded inside the Club House.

Club House

Full use of the Club House will resume and it will be available for hire for up to 40 people. Members need to be aware that the Club House will be cleaned once a week on Saturday mornings and after events. Surface cleaner will be provided for members to use in the kitchen and the seating area of the bar when they use the facilities. Hand sanitiser will also be available. Members should wash their hands regularly before and after play.

Bar

The Bar will operate as before. Members should not congregate at the bar, and only one member should approach the bar at a time. To avoid over-crowding members should make maximum use of the outside space especially in the summertime when the weather is fine.

Social membership will be available again for non-players who want to be able to use the bar. Payment by cash or card will be accepted.

QR Code

The QR code will remain available and we would encourage you to use it.
