GRAND OPENING OF THE VERANDA

Due to the forecast of heavy rain tomorrow evening from 5pm onwards we are postponing the Grand Opening of the Veranda Event from 30 September until next Friday 7/10. The schedule will stay the same and we hope as many members and friends will join us to raise a glass at 6.45pm. Details of the event can be found in the original notice below.

Please note there are still places available for our members doubles tournament at 7pm after the Grand Opening aimed at team players and Rota players (Monday / Thursday). If you wish to enter please email Mark at mdlcoaching@hotmail.com

TOMORROW 30 September – Junior night and disability tennis are scheduled to go ahead as normal until we know how bad the weather will be and if we cancel we will email those who have signed up on Clubspark.

ORIGINAL DETAILS OF EVENT

The Grand Opening of the refurbished ‘Top Building’, the veranda with improved access to the kitchen and toilets, and the approach accesses will be held on Friday, 30th September 2022. (GRAND OPENING AT 6.45pm but activities from 4pm).

All members and their friends are invited to come along and join in with the fun and enjoy a drink on the new veranda. We hope to see as many of you as possible on the evening. The proposed event schedule will, as closely as possible, follow this timetable:

4pm-5pm – Kids Community Mini Tennis & Teenager Fun Tennis Session (children aged 4yrs-16yrs)

5.15pm-6pm – Kids disability Tennis session

5.30pm-6pm – Adult disability Table Tennis Fun Tournament (Top building)

6pm-6.45pm – Adult disability Tennis session / Tournament

6pm-6.45pm – Adult members invited to join us at our disability tennis session to help out and join in our Fun tournament / session and see for yourself what fun we have each week – email Mark Love to let him know if you wish to help out – mdlcoaching@hotmail.com

6pm – Table Tennis Open to all play for kids (Supervised)

6.45pm-7pm – Opening of the Veranda – Thanks to all those involved in the project and our sponsors

7pm-8.30pm – Members Invitation doubles event (MDL to run – Please contact Mark if you wish to take part)

We sincerely hope that you will be able to attend our special opening event. We have invited the local Mayor, local councillors and local representatives of charities and community groups. Publicity will be through social media.
